As a branding consultant I’ve spent most of my days in front of a computer, working in the digital (ephemeral) space. I always enjoyed making something with my hands and love the aspect of transformation; how something emerges from nothing and the rewarding experience that comes with it.
Aurora borealis statement necklace in the making
After coming to England the 700-year tradition in silversmithing got my attention. I started to collect antique silver pieces and learned about hallmarking along the way.
But it wasn’t until I met a jewellery designer that everything seemed to come together. I realised this was what I wanted to do. Through studying with the London Jewellery School and self-teaching I learned how to translate my designs into silver. My pieces contrast clean, geometric lines with handmade texture.
My work in silver also benefits from my extensive knowledge in the field of design that I have acquired over the past 20 years.
