Aurora Borealis ring No 2
£80.00
About this product
A ring from the Aurora Borealis Collection. Can you see the Northern Lights? Following an Inuit myth, the Northern Lights escaped from labradorite. I find that easy to believe: the lights wander around in the stone as you turn it.
A bit more on the Northern Lights: auroras occur when streams of charged particles emitted by the sun strike atoms in a planet's atmosphere. The displays happen regularly on Earth and are visible to the naked eye. But that's not all: Saturn also has northern lights, and they are just as beautiful as even the most dramatic northern and southern lights here on Earth.
Handmade
This ring will be handmade using traditional silversmithing techniques in Greenwich, London.
Because it is made by hand, each product is unique.
925 solid sterling silver
2mm thick
Smooth finish
6mm labradorite cabochon
PLEASE NOTE that gemstones are sensitive to perfumes, lotions, hand sanitisers etc. Care needs to also be taken not to immerse the stone in water, sea water or chlorine water. Ultrasonic cleaners must NOT be used as they can damage the stone.
– Remove your jewellery before doing any practical activities
– Apply hair and beauty products before putting your jewellery on
– Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean your jewellery. For a deeper clean, you may use warm, soapy water and a soft toothbrush
