Luna Collection

There are lots of stories around the Moon. In Norse mythology, the Sun and the Moon appear as personified siblings pulling the heavenly bodies and chased by wolves, or as plain objects. The Vikings believed that when the two wolves caught up with the Sun and Moon, they would swallow them and all the stars would disappear from the sky.

In German, there is also this expression for silver: “metal of the Moon”. Trace amounts of silver have actually been found on the Moon, discovered by a NASA probe in 2009.

This collection explores the different qualities of the Moon in the night sky:
polished and domed evoking reflections on water, white moonstone resembling a hazy moon, and hammered silver akin to the surface of the Moon.
